Grow Grants Are Now Closed
GROW GRANTS DELIVERS $200,000 TO COMBAT FOOD RESILIENCE IN BC
These grants, supported by the Giustra Foundation, have allowed $200,000 of funding to be distributed to community facing organizations across British Columbia in support of projects addressing food security, food education and food resilience with drastically reduced administration and reporting requirements.

What Are Grow Grants?
3 Granting Streams
3 Distinct granting streams are available, with fixed grant amounts between $5,000 – $10,000. Each stream is designed to adapt to a broad range of projects

FOOD FARMING AND
COMMUNITY PLANTING
Growing projects from pot to plot. This fund can be used to support new or existing projects that allow community members to access, experiment, utilize, benefit or train with outdoor or indoor food and medicinal planting.

FOOD SECURITY AND
NUTRITIONAL EDUCATION
Projects that aim to improve the food security or food empowerment of community members and/or in support of improved nutritional education and food knowledge revitalization.

FOOD RESILIENCE AND
FUTURE INNOVATION
Innovative projects testing new ideas or solutions to food insecurity and systemic barriers. Projects in this stream may include a research element, testing phase or wider BC element .
